Hi, I’m Julie from Jewels Taxi!
At the age of 14, my journey into the taxi industry began in a rather unique way. My brother owned a taxi company here in Trenton, and I was eager to earn some money. To help me out, he opened a little canteen within his operation, which allowed me to serve snacks and drinks to drivers and customers alike.
That initial job sparked a passion in me. Soon, I found myself doing much more than just managing the canteen. I took on various roles, answering the phones, dispatching, and eventually, I even got behind the wheel! Those experiences taught me the ins and outs of the taxi business, and I quickly fell in love with the hustle and bustle of the industry.
When my brother decided to sell the company, my parents stepped in and purchased a share, allowing me to continue working in the taxi industry. It became a part of who I am, shaping my career and my life. Over the years, I gained invaluable insights and built strong relationships with drivers and customers alike.
Recently, I made the exciting decision to take a leap of faith and open my own company—Jewels Taxi. My goal is to ensure that our customers arrive on time, every time. I am passionate about providing quick, friendly, and reliable service to the Quinte West community. You have supported me throughout my journey and I am thrilled to embark on this new chapter.
